April is usually the date of the annual Pink Flamingo Fly-in.
One of our more 'colorful' residents hosts what has become an annual event.
So named
because of several of the more immovable plastic ones have taken up
residence in his yard. Rain or Shine, come on by in April (no
fooling!)

The
Skinner Road Airport Community Association (SCARA) will host its
annual open house for the people in our community on Saturday
November 1st, 2008. This event
gives our neighbors the opportunity to learn about aviation, the
airport, and meet the people who fly and live here.
Drinks and hot dogs are provided as well as free airplane rides for
children 8-17 (with parental signature) through the EAAYoung
Eagle Program plus many Static Displays. A popular new
addition is the stuffed animal drop for the younger children not
eligible for airplane rides. Very popular, make plans to attend
again this year!
